Event liability insurance is a very important concern. Matrix Entertainment carries a two million dollar policy on all of our shows and events. When booking entertainment for your event, you should always ask the vendor for proof of insurance. Get the insurer's name and policy number as well as the carrier's phone number for verification that the policy is still valid. Due to the cost of insurance, some vendors have been known to give you a paper showing proof of insurance, but the policy is no longer valid. 

Get the insurer's name and policy number and call for verification that the policy is valid. Refrain from signing a contract that states the participants must sign a waiver of liability. This will put all the liability on the person that signed the contract.
